Year 6 Gurdwara Visit

Dear Year 6 Parent/Carer,

We are pleased to have been offered the opportunity for Year 6 to visit the Nanaksar Thath Isher Darbar (1 Mander Street, Wolverhampton, WV3 0JZ) on Monday 23rd March.

The visit will take place during the morning and the children will have lunch in school as normal upon their return.

During this trip, students will receive a guided tour of the Gurdwara as well as a detailed talk about Sikhism. As part of Sikh tradition, students will be offered snacks and to ensure we follow the customs and expectations of the Gurdwara, please ensure that students:

• Do not consume any food containing egg, meat, chicken, or alcohol prior to the visit.

• Bring a head covering (such as a scarf). This is optional, as the Gurdwara can provide one if needed.

• Wear trousers or leggings. Skirts and shorts are not suitable for this visit.
