School Closure Notification - Friday 9th January 2026

Dear Parents,

Following my message yesterday regarding the weather warnings and forecast of heavy snow, we have received further information this afternoon from the local authority. This information includes a recommendation that schools consider closing due to significant risk to health and safety.

Many services across the city are expected to be impacted by the poor weather and the advice that is being shared is to avoid travel unless essential. Therefore, I have taken the decision that St Paul's will be closed to children and staff on Friday 9th January. I appreciate that this may cause some inconvenience for some of our families, but I hope that by making the decision now, this will enable parents to make the necessary arrangements. This decision has not been taken lightly and has been made with the best interests of all at heart.

Please stay safe and warm over the next few days and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Monday 12th January.
